EASA Approved CorsoPatch Aircraft
On Thursday June 23, 2022, EASA approved the CorsoPatch Aircraft fast paint repair solution.
The efforts of the Corso Magenta team have been rewarded, as this approval attests that CorsoPatch Aircraft meets, as a standard repair solution, the safety and airworthiness requirements set by the European Union.
The solution is now applicable to all aircraft ranges from the main manufacturers: Airbus, Boeing, ATR, Embraer and De Havilland.
Therefore, it is now possible for the company to market its fast paint repair solution on the majority of the world’s civil aviation fleet!
What next?
As CorsoPatch Aircraft is now marketable, new perspectives are opening up!
• For the aeronautics sector: obtain an innovative time-saving solution for more efficient aeronautical maintenance that respects employees and the environment.
• For Corso Magenta : Penetrate the very demanding aeronautics sector by concluding contracts with its numerous state and commercial partners. Have its fast paint repair solution approved by the various civil aviation

From May 3 to 5, Corso Magenta had the honor of participating in the 23rd edition of Surfair, which took place in Biarritz.
During this show, we were nominated for the innovation award and received the sustainability award for our CorsoComposites solution.

It reduces vapors due to the drying phases
It lasts over time
It will eventually become recyclable

To validate CorsoPatch Aircraft‘s conformity, Corso Magenta is currently carrying out flight tests on 7 aircraft with 4 renowned airlines.
Tests went over 1 000 flight hours, before aircraft being completely repainted.
Today, we are delighted to announce that flight tests with EasyJet have started successfully this summer!
To prove the effectiveness of our solution, a few months ago we put several patches on two EasyJet A320’s.

CorsoPatch Ship : Antifouling & Fouling Release
CorsoPatch Ship has many features, including Antifouling & Fouling Release.
CorsoPatch Ship is also a film of dry paint with an adhesive backing, to ensure high HSE standards during aplication.
The solidified paint film can be made from different existing antifouling paint systems (including ACQPA certified).
It can also integrate a foul release textured surface, that can be combined with more conventional fouling release chemistry such as PTFE or silicone.

Corso Magenta, member of the FibreGY project
We are happy to announce that FibreGY project, in which Corso Magenta is participating, is now launched.
The project funded by the European Union program Horizon 2020 and overseen by CIMNE (international center for numerical methods in engineering), has the overall objective of enabling the use of FIBER-based improved hardware solutions (FRP) in next generation structures of large offshore wind and tidal power platforms.
FIBREGY is synonymous with development, engineering, production and lifecycle management of FIBER-based material solutions, and project’s motto is “composites for a sustainable environment”.
Corso Magenta’s contribution to this project?
Thanks to its Fast Composite finishes solution, Corso Magenta is participating in the development:
1 – a paint application solution at the bottom of the mold
2 – reversible adhesives

CorsoPatch Ship: Fast paint repair above water line
CorsoPatch Ship has many features, one of them is fast paint repair above water line.
CorsoPatch Ship, derived from CorsoPatch Aircraft, is a repair solution for ship hulls. Applications are numerous, among them the application above water line (emerged part of ship).
Patches consist of a solidified and adhesive paint film, paint used (ACQPA) is specific to applications above water line.
In January 2020, Corso Magenta started sea trials with one of its partners.

Corso Magenta launches a RAPID project
Corso Magenta launches a RAPID project
Following Stanislas Chevallier’s appearance on BFM business, Corso Magenta was approached by Air France Industrie and Airbus. After this meeting, the RAPID project was born.
What is a RAPID? Supported by the Innovation and Defense Agency (AID), a RAPID (Régime d’APpui à l’Innovation Duale) is a grant scheme for innovation projects initiated by one or several companies.
In 2016 Corso Magenta launched the RAPID project named SYSCO (SYStème de peinture sec COllé sur substrat métallique et/ou composite) with academic and industrial partners such as Air France Industrie and Airbus.
SYSCO’s goal is to develop a rapid paint repair solution for aircraft. This is how CorsoPatch Aircraft was born.
