We are happy to announce that FibreGY project, in which Corso Magenta is participating, is now launched.

The project funded by the European Union program Horizon 2020 and overseen by CIMNE (international center for numerical methods in engineering), has the overall objective of enabling the use of FIBER-based improved hardware solutions (FRP) in next generation structures of large offshore wind and tidal power platforms.
FIBREGY is synonymous with development, engineering, production and lifecycle management of FIBER-based material solutions, and project’s motto is “composites for a sustainable environment”.

Corso Magenta’s contribution to this project?
Thanks to its Fast Composite finishes solution, Corso Magenta is participating in the development:
1 – a paint application solution at the bottom of the mold
2 – reversible adhesives

Fast paint repair for aircraft

Following Stanislas Chevallier’s appearance on BFM business, Corso Magenta was approached by Air France Industrie and Airbus. After this meeting, the RAPID project was born.

What is a RAPID? Supported by the Innovation and Defense Agency (AID), a RAPID (Régime d’APpui à l’Innovation Duale) is a grant scheme for innovation projects initiated by one or several companies.

In 2016 Corso Magenta launched the RAPID project named SYSCO (SYStème de peinture sec COllé sur substrat métallique et/ou composite) with academic and industrial partners such as Air France Industrie and Airbus.
SYSCO’s goal is to develop a rapid paint repair solution for aircraft. This is how CorsoPatch Aircraft was born.

Corso Magenta participated in the European Clean Sky project

Corso Magenta participed at Clean Sky with its sustaniable paint solution for aircraft

From 2011 to 2013, Corso Magenta participated in the Clean Sky 1 project, selected by the European research program H2020.

The objective of the Clean Sky project is to carry out research, with private and public partners, to support an air transport policy that respects the environment to achieve the objectives set by ACARE by 2050 ( Advisory Council for Aeronautical Research in Europe).

During these two years of research, Corso Magenta carried out the RIFPA project (Grooved paint surface manufacturing for aerodynamic drag reduction testing), with the aim of developing a paint coating with “riblet” texturing to reduce aircraft trail.
Tests carried out at the Modane Industrial wind tunnel (Onera) concluded that the use of “riblets” shaped by Corso Magenta reduces contrail by 7% at Mach 0.8.
